Data Services
Nine Telecom offers customers a complete range of fully managed or un-managed data products and services. For more detail click on the relevant product tabs.
Nine Telecom has access to data specialists who can help to design and configure data networks to match customer requirements.
All our data products are offered with dedicated first line support, underpinned by the broadband provider.
Direct Internet Access
Direct Internet Access (DIA) is more efficient and can guarantee higher download and upload speeds, when compared to Broadband ADSL services.
From October 2011, Nine Telecom will be offering fixed price Ethernet connectivity at industry leading prices, including a Cisco router and with no installation charge. There will be an option to add in an ADSL resilient solution, network monitoring, additional IP addresses and direct breakout to our SIP voice platform. The Ethernet service is provided over tier one carrier networks and is subject to site survey.
Nine Telecom can provide direct internet access (DIA) at bandwidths from 2Mb upwards across tier one carrier networks, using Ethernet and Ethernet First Mile (EFM) where available. All our DIA services are provisioned in a future proof manner, which allows customers to rescale their connections, add in other sites, add in voice services or deploy other applications across the network.
Direct Internet Access (DIA) is supplied with a higher availability level and a more stringent Service Level Agreement (SLA), which can make it a more suitable choice for business critical internet access applications. The upload and download speed of a DIA solution is identical, making this an ideal solution for applications requiring symmetrical un-contended bandwidth, with a higher service level agreement.
Point to Point Services
A Leased Line delivers private connectivity between sites, making it a robust and secure option for the transmission of sensitive information.
For organisations looking to link two sites or locations, Nine Telecom can provide highly competitive point to point data circuits with a range of bandwidths from 2Mb upwards.
The high availability level associated with a Leased Line makes this an ideal solution for critical bandwidth applications such as video and voice.
IP VPN
Nine Telecom offer IP VPN network solutions that facilitate the use of the internet to provide access to data and applications between customers’ sites and from remote locations.
IP VPNs are typically deployed to enable business customers to communicate and share information with employees, customers and suppliers, irrespective of global location. Nine Telecom can design IP VPN solutions that add security to the transmission of private data across public networks (the internet), by the use of tunnelling protocols, such as IP Sec. IP Sec’s flexible nature can facilitate configuration of secure connections between multiple sites, ranging from corporate headquarters to single home workers.
Despite the growth in MPLS, traditional IP VPN networks can still provide a match with many customers’ requirements and Nine Telecom can advise on the most appropriate solution on a case by case basis.
MPLS Networks
MPLS Networks (Multi Protocol Labelled Switching) provides an ideal method for connecting multiple office locations, using a single dedicated infrastructure. These networks offer secure, private connectivity between sites, which can allow the transmission of all types of traffic (for example. data, eMail, video, voice) over a single network infrastructure.
Access to MPLS Networks can be provided over different connectivity options - for example, Ethernet at the main site, Leased Lines at satellite offices and Broadband at remote locations, which makes MPLS an ideal choice for any size of business. All the organisation’s sites are connected to a single network, offering “any to any” communication across a secure and private infrastructure.
Nine Telecom can design add-on services to MPLS Network solutions, such as firewalls, internet access and SIP Trunk voice breakout, as well as connections to any hosted applications and/or servers. MPLS Networks can be built using different class of service (COS), with the most time sensitive applications (for example - voice) being given the highest priority. This creates a network which has Quality of Service (QOS) attached to it.
The inherent scalability and flexibility of MPLS Networks is making them an increasingly clear choice for network communications and Nine Telecom can provide independent advice on the selection of the most appropriate solution at the most competitive price. The consultative approach adopted by Nine Telecom will ensure that the MPLS Network design will match the customers’ requirements and will take account of key elements such as pricing, installation time, future-proofing and security.
Co-Location
A company’s web site and database applications are key components in the success of that business and any interruption or loss of service can undermine the profitability, or even the survival of the business in the longer term.
Nine Telecom can advise on the best option for securing critical data in a purpose built, remote location, which provides resilient access and protection for your data. Co-Location provides a method for hosting vital information in a secure and controlled environment - typically a purpose designed data centre. Servers and other equipment can be housed in a dedicated area of the facility, with the choice between self management or outsourcing this to a specialist company. Information can be duplicated at one or more locations to provide resilience, back-up and recovery in the event of a system failure.
Managed Hosting
For organisations that require a fully outsourced solution for data management and security, Managed Hosting provides the perfect option. Nine Telecom can design a tailored solution that specifically matches the requirements of the customer.
In a Managed Hosting environment, the hardware and equipment are supplied to bespoke requirements and responsibility for thee integrity and security of the data is fully assigned to the data centre providing the managed hosting service. Internal IT staff can retain access and control over the applications, so business processes are not affected.
Managed Hosting facilities are often built with multiple carrier network infrastructures also on site, which can enable rapid deployment of high speed bandwidth to support data applications.
IP Telephony
Nine Telecom will be launching Release 2 of MiCall+ and MiLine – hosted IP Telephony and SIP Trunking products in October 2011.
MiCall + Release 2 - Hosted IP Telephony
All the features of the original MiCall+ product will be retained, but customers will benefit from click to dial and direct call control capability from Outlook or Internet Explorer, using a new tool bar.
Existing numbers can be ported on to the MiCall+ platform and new numbers can be assigned from any UK area code – providing the possibility of location independent numbering and the retention of cherished numbers when relocating.
For any business considering a change of PABX, hosted IP Telephony represents an increasingly attractive option and for multi-site businesses or mobile workforces, it is the ideal solution.
The range of features available with MiCall+ and the inherent disaster recovery and mobility solutions place this product ahead of many other hosted solutions from vendors using less developed platforms. Network based call recording can be added to any MiCall+ solution.
A complete range of business handsets are available with MiCall+ from suppliers such as Cisco (Small Business Range) and Polycom.
MiLine Release 2 – SIP Trunking
Our new product offers comprehensive interoperability certification with a number of PABX suppliers, such as Avaya, Mitel, Panasonic and Siemens and the list is expanding every month.
By using additional gateway devices, SIP Trunks can be connected to any make and model of PABX.
SIP Trunking sales are escalating rapidly as business customers recognise the benefits that can be provided either alongside, or to replace ISDN services. Numbering solutions for businesses on the move and disaster recovery are key benefits of MiLine, which can also provide access to network level features such as; voicemail, click to dial and call recording.
MiLine can now be offered as part of a converged voice and data solution, with full prioritisation of voice traffic and network level handover of voice traffic across a dedicated circuit.
